Samuel L. Joseph, Esq.

Samuel L. Joseph, Esq., earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Mr. Joseph began his legal career in private practice, where he handled civil and criminal litigation. He later served as an Assistant Public Defender in Baltimore, Maryland, and as an Assistant Territorial Public Defender in the United States Virgin Islands, where he represented clients in serious felony matters, including homicide, narcotics, and financial crimes. He was subsequently appointed Chief Territorial Public Defender for the United States Virgin Islands, serving three terms from 2013 to 2023. In that role, he was responsible for the management and direction of the agency, including oversight of litigation, personnel, policy development, and administrative operations.

He has also served in a consulting capacity on criminal matters. Since returning to private practice, he has resumed representing clients at both the state and federal level.

Mr. Joseph is admitted to practice in Georgia, Maryland, and the United States Virgin Islands, and has experience handling matters across multiple jurisdictions.
